Cookie Notice

This Notice explains the cookies and equivalent browser storage used by Certa, including the one optional referral-attribution cookie you can allow or refuse.

Effective August 21, 2026 · Last updated August 21, 2026

1. What Certa stores in your browser

Cookies are small values a website stores in a browser. Similar technologies, including local storage and session storage, can remember information without using a traditional cookie. The same transparency and consent principles may apply to both.

Certa does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioral-tracking pixels, or optional analytics cookies.

2. Necessary storage

Necessary storage supports a service you request, protects the application, or remembers your privacy choice. Refusing the optional referral cookie does not disable these functions.

3. Optional referral cookie

NamePurposeDuration
certa_referralAttributes a qualifying application and payment to the referral link followed, so Certa can calculate a referral commissionUp to 30 days, and removed earlier after successful attribution

The referral cookie is first-party, signed, and inaccessible to browser JavaScript. It does not reveal the applicant's case, documents, tax information, or identity to the referrer.

4. Your choices

  • Necessary only: Certa does not create the referral cookie and removes any unclaimed referral cookie already present.
  • Allow referral cookie: Certa may store referral attribution for up to 30 days.
  • Change your mind: use Cookie preferences in the footer at any time. Withdrawing permission removes any unclaimed referral cookie.

You may also remove or block storage using browser settings. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in, saved application progress, or support chat from working correctly.

5. Changes and contact

Certa will update this Notice before introducing a new optional cookie category. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@certaitin.com.
